Leuven stone road

The Leuvensesteenweg is a Brussels access road that starts at Madouplein and runs to Kortenberg in Flemish Brabant, where it continues as Brusselsesteenweg. It is part of the N2.
The winding starting section of the Leuvensesteenweg in Sint-Joost-ten-Node runs eastward from Madouplein over Sint-Joostplein to Kardinaalsstraat. From there, the road continues straight ahead in a north-east-easterly direction. Until Notelaarsstraat, it is shared by Sint-Joost and Brussels city. On the Sint-Joost side lies the former Leuvensesteenweg Station on railway line 161. Then comes the Schaerbeek section, featuring Daillyplein and the complex seven-way intersection at Meiserplein. The road continues through Evere along Paduwaplein. After a short stretch in Sint-Lambrechts-Woluwe, the Leuvensesteenweg enters the Flemish Region in Sint-Stevens-Woluwe. At the bridge over the Grote Ring, the Leuvensesteenweg enters the territory of Zaventem, followed by Nossegem, Kortenberg, and Erps-Kwerps.
