Here in the Castle of Nokere, a report from 1634 was found regarding the death sentence of Clara De Vos, the woman of Nokere. She was accused by two brothers-in-law who owed her money and accused her of witchcraft. She ended up on the stake in the center of Nokere. You can find a statue of her just outside the cemetery walls of Nokere.
