Hier in het Kasteel van Nokere werd het verslag uit 1634 gevonden van de ter dood veroordeling van Clara De Vos, de heks van Nokere. Ze werd aangeklaagd door twee schoonbroers die haar geld verschuldigd waren en haar beschuldigden van hekserij. Ze belandde op de brandstakel in het centrum van Nokere.
