The Zegemeer is a small lake between Albertstrand and Knokke, in the West Flanders municipality of Knokke-Heist.
There used to be a large dune basin here known as the Lispanne, which contained a freshwater spring. This was excavated in 1924 by the Société Immobilière Knokke-Balnéaire, and by 1925 the Zegemeer was formed, named after the victory of the Allies at the end of World War I. To the north of this lake, in 1920, one of the attractions of the developing Albertstrand was built, namely the Pavillon du Lac, which had the first gaming hall of Knokke in 1926. The slightly further north located Casino of Knokke was completed in 1932.
