Building, Chéravoie Street, 11

Located at the corner of Rue du Champion and Rue Chéravoie, which the main façade overlooks, this building dates from the late 17th century. It features a high basement pierced by two openings in a low arched shape, one of which has been bricked up. The façade rises over two levels of three bays, the last on the right still showing traces of the original archway of a curved door. This door, now transformed into a window, has a molded frame, a key in a clamp, and corner blocks with carved scrolls. Furthermore, it is crowned by a dripstone and an impost window. The adjoining rectangular bays of the ground floor and the upper level have retained their crossbars as well as their reveal edges. The supports are molded and the lintels are topped with a fillet. The aprons of the first level are equipped with truncated cartouches, while those of the second level have rectangular cartouches. On a cornice with blocks, the building is covered with a gable roof with curved eaves.
The brick and limestone gable wall is pierced by four bays with chain-pierced reveals and lintels, traversed under a relieving arch. Access is possible through this façade via two doors, the one on the right being more recent than the one on the left. The gable also features S-shaped anchors or double volutes.
Listed as a monument on May 7, 1997.
