Former property of the Saint-Laurent Abbey from 1457 until the Revolution, the "Kinkempois estate" was acquired in 1796 by Ch. J. Desoer. Already profoundly altered, the castle was practically rebuilt in 1887 by architect Lambert Gaspard at the request of Jeanne de Clérembault. In 1935, it became the town hall of Angleur until the merger of municipalities. Destroyed by bombing in 1944, it was rebuilt again according to the plans of J. Moutschen. Only the bridge, the ancient foundations, and some sections of masonry remain.
Set in a park and surrounded by moats, the castle is accessible via a limestone bridge from the 16th century, with a single full arch, bearing the inscription "D. GERARD DE ZUILRE 1535" at the keystone. The main facade, built of brick and limestone in a U-shape, is defined as a construction from the late 18th century: pilasters with recesses and rectangular openings crowned by a fine drip molding. A slab, placed in the central bay, displays the arms of Guillaume Natalis, abbot of Saint-Laurent, as well as the date 1682. The south facade, also in a U-shape, presents a 17th-century appearance, while the side facade is characterized by a projecting construction indicating the former castle chapel and bears the inscription "D. HENRICUS NATALIS ABBAS SANCTI LAURENTII RECONSTRUXIT 1566." The building is topped with gable roofs, a central dome, and a belfry crowning a clock.
