The Côte des Hézalles is for lovers of extreme steep work. With over 200 climbing points, des Hézalles is an absolute gem of a climb. Those who ride too slowly in the winding beginning between the houses will have to stop to prevent the handlebars from going up in the air.
In Trois-Ponts, take the road towards Vielsalm, and after a hundred meters, turn sharply to the right onto the steep road. Here, a battlefield reveals itself immediately. The Rue des Hézalles starts so steep that there can be no speaking of acclimatization. Scraping is the only thing possible at this moment. Only at the 2 hairpin bends do the legs get a moment of rest before having to push hard again.
Those with good legs will push a bit after the steep section. Keep to the left. Here, you can make significant differences with your cycling mates. Once you reach the main road, the difficult part is over. Turning left, the road continues to climb towards Bergival.
