The Patrijzenbos is a green oasis of about 5.5 hectares on the outskirts of Lendelede. It is a recent forest that has been planted by many residents of Lendelede. Despite the young age of the Patrijzenbos, there are already many songbirds and small mammals residing there. There is a walking path through the forest.
Bergkapel and adjacent old dump
The Bergkapel in Lendelede was built in 1885. Dedicated to Our Lady of Sorrows. Between the Patrijzenbos, Heulsestraat, and the Bergkapel lies a former dump site. Since December 2011, this dump site has been permanently closed. Meanwhile, the dump area has been covered, and we look forward to what the future will hold for this natural area. A green zone of 24 hectares, adjacent to the Patrijzenbos and not far from the center of Lendelede.
