Outer Rim Fort 7

A large part of Fort 7 is protected as a nature reserve, but not the area outside the moat along the Moerelei. This fort has remarkably higher ramparts than the other examples from the fortress belt. From the outer shell, this can be clearly seen across the moat. Today, a number of recreational activities have been organised in the outskirts, such as a dog walking area, an arboretum and a fishing club. The latter use the large moat, numerous fishing spots have been set up along the banks.
