From the tiniest pygmy marmoset and leopard gecko, the slightly larger meerkat and desert fox to the steppe zebra and giant brown bear. You will get the chance to get to know animals that you don't encounter every day. Animals from all parts of the world.

Lots to experience
Animal caretakers share wonderfully entertaining stories about the animals during the many feeding presentations. There are also various hands-on tasks, and for the little ones, there is the petting farm.

De Zonnegloed is located in the middle of a beautiful piece of nature. The animal enclosures are surrounded by a lot of greenery. Everywhere there are benches or picnic spots where you can relax and enjoy.

Helping wild animals together
As a European wildlife rehabilitation center, De Zonnegloed has been taking in neglected/abused/abandoned and confiscated wild animals that cannot be returned to nature since 2011. They find a new home here for the rest of their lives with the necessary professional care. A place that gives animals these opportunities is called a Sanctuary.
