The digital city walk is based on the diary of Charles Castelein, a 52-year-old tram employee when the war breaks out in 1914. You will get to know the wartime history of Ostend through the eyes of a real Ostender. You can take the walk at your own pace with the help of an audio guide with a screen.
Devices can be borrowed daily at Tourism Ostend, Monacoplein 2, 8400 Ostend.
Duration of the walk: 1.5 to 2 hours
We recommend that you reserve this walk in advance, as the number of devices is limited. Reservations can be made by phone (+32 59 70 11 99) or via email (info@visitoostende.be). The devices can be borrowed until 2:00 PM at the latest. Regarding the deposit for the devices, you will need to present a credit card or identity card and fill out a form on site.
