Because our current agricultural system has been thoroughly changed after WWII due to, among other things, artificial fertilizer, maintaining the heath is no longer so self-evident. While it used to be a way of providing life, it has now become specialized work for nature managers. If not, the heath will become forest again. The spontaneous storage of trees is fast. By mowing and weeding the heather on a small scale (cutting off the top layer), she rejuvenates again. In addition to the shrub heath, you will also find sheep sorrel and special mosses, such as fringe moss, bronze moss and shrub moss. Also short-sleeved, a form of cohabitation between a fungus and a weed. The viviparous lizard and various heath lilies also have a good time on the Bolderberg heath.
