Description

Station building on the Ghent - Geraardsbergen - Braine-le-Comte railway line built in 1861-65. Rural brick station building in toned-down eclectic style; RT. Building of two floors. and six trav., from the 1860s. Typical corner mouldings, ornamental anchors, sintered sintered brick arch mouldings connected to cordons; arched wall openings with bluestone keystone on ground floor; woodwork already partly replaced by plastic. Attic verd. Simplified as well as the renewed roofing: stepped gable tops above the protruding midrisalite of front and platform façade as well as their dormers and the stairs removed from the side gables. Wooden platform canopy on iron skeleton structure with four slender columns.
