At this level crossing we practiced several times with our long ears: they refused to cross the railway. Obstinate? No, donkeys are very careful : something they do not recognize, they avoid for safety reasons. We had to use a lot of persuasion, carrots and sweets to get them over this "hurdle". Oddly enough, it went by itself the next few times. Who said again: "a donkey does not hit the same stone twice?" They can also sometimes stubbornly stand at other obstacles: a white line on the road, a sewer pit, a different color road surface, a barking dog... Fortunately, our friends are already quite used to it, but occasionally it can happen that they stay standing. A good dose of calm, the necessary patience and good observation can then offer a solution. Moreover, "a donkey mirrors your own behavior— it does exactly what its supervisor does. So there is no point in stubbornly pulling or pushing!
