ATLANTIKWALL
Walk through two World Wars in bunkers and trenches...
The more than sixty bunkers, observation posts, and artillery positions, connected by two kilometers of open or underground corridors, together form one of the best-preserved parts of the German defensive line 'Atlantikwall'. This was constructed by the Germans during World War II from the French-Spanish border to Norway. The site also houses the only preserved German coastal battery from World War I. The Prince Charles Memorial keeps the memory of Prince Charles alive, who settled on the estate after his regency (1944 – 1950).

A medieval fishing village comes to life after 500 years...
Step into the life of the 15th-century fishing families of Walraversijde. Three houses and a bakery have been rebuilt using bricks excavated on-site. All the household items and objects present are true-to-life replicas. The voices of the medieval residents guide visitors via the audio guide through this unique site. In the accompanying museum, you will find the original excavated objects and learn more about the lives of the inhabitants.

Raversyde is a unique piece of nature on our Coast. The estate is partially located in a protected dune area and with an area of nearly 50 hectares, it offers visitors a beautiful setting to explore on foot.
