Ridge between Herentals and Lichtaart with the Nete valley

The 'Heuvelrug Herentals-Lichtaart met Netevallei' is located in the Central Kempen or the Neteland on the territory of the municipalities of Herentals and Kasterlee (Lichtaart). The boundary of the area is formed by the Poederleeseweg in the west, Watervoort, Hulzen, the Herentals-Turnhout and Achterlee railway line in the north, the habitation of Lichtaart, the Herentalsesteenweg and the hamlet of Heide in the east and finally the Kleine Nete, Langendonk and Bleek in the south. The northern part of this landscape is a contiguous set of drifting sand dunes.
