The district house, built in neo-Renaissance style, has proudly stood on the square since 1873 and has undergone various renovations and expansions over the years. The location has a rich history dating back to the Middle Ages, with a Celtic settlement and a shooting guild active in the Saint Sebastian guild. Every five years, the famous Goat Parade passes through the square, featuring floats, giant puppets, and music groups. Thousands of visitors then come together to celebrate Wilrijk's folklore.
