Stationsstraat no. 18. Also known as "De Visscherie", a complex consisting of a mansion from the second half of the 19th century with an adjoining forest park containing two buildings from the first quarter of the 20th century. The domain is further delimited by Hoogstraat, Nieuwstraat, and the subdivision of Voldersstraat. The park with the so-called "Eilandje" surrounded by walls lies in the drainage area and is fed by the Ooigembeek. On a figurative map from 1639, a house is depicted within the walls. The Ferraris map (1770-1778) shows no buildings, which is not the case on the primitive land registry plan (ca. 1830). The owner is then Frans Tack, a brewer from Oostrozebeke (cf. Hoogstraat no. 5) who rents out the property. The original land registry (ca. 1830) describes the domain with a house on the island and another house along the access driveway, as well as a garden, land, meadows, an orchard, and a forest. The lands on the street belong to another owner. Around 1853, the building on the island is demolished, and a smaller structure is built in the southeast corner of the walls, its function is unclear. Around 1870, Hippoliet Tack, a manufacturer from Oostrozebeke, acquires the lands on the street side and builds two houses with a factory and warehouse in between, and around 1873, a farm building is constructed behind the factory. By 1889, part of the factory has been converted into a residence, while the other part is integrated into the old residence, and a new warehouse is built to its right. This warehouse is added to the house around 1911. Presumably in 1924, the house is completely renovated, and it is now used as a banquet hall. The brewing family Lootens (cf. Hoogstraat no. 5) is the new owner in 1929 and enlarges the house again. A land registry sketch from 1943 suggests that the pavilion on the island has been expanded. The Lootens family, patrons of the Flemish priest-artist Cyriel Verschaeve, allows the pavilion (now a banquet hall in the garden) to be at his disposal for a period. The buildings on the street side undergo several changes and expansions throughout the 20th century; in 1975, the buildings are repurposed as a restaurant, and in 1993 as a banquet hall. The mansion on the street side dates back roughly to 1870 and is flanked by two lower extensions, all featuring plastered and white-painted facades. The main volume is a double house of two stories under a tiled gable roof. The front facade has a granite plinth, imitation joints on the ground floor, and cordons. Central risalit with a door and a granite external staircase, above which is a renewed bay window. Windows on the ground floor are barred, while the upper floors have windows with framed openings with ears. Cornice on brackets. Extensions left and right with recent modifications. In the park and on the island, some small buildings with an L-shaped floor plan, presumably from the first quarter of the 20th century, with possible later alterations. The building in the park has been adapted as a banquet hall. The pavilion on the island has composite, hipped gable roofs (mechanical tiles) and has plastered and white-painted walls with simple window openings. Park woods with some paved or asphalted paths. Old trees, including about six beech trees in a circle on a paved raised area, accessible via a staircase with paved steps.
