Former "Scaldis Brewery", founded in 1885 by C. Van Kerckhoven. Company discontinued in 1962. Brewer's house on the street side: eclectic brick frame façade of four bays and two storeys under gable roof (ridge parallel to street, mechanical tiles) with dormer windows, from around 1904. Characterized by richer door bay and left bay with bay window. Strongly elaborated side walls with, among other things, recessed façade surfaces; higher rising right side wall as a connection between two chimneys. At the back and on the left largely vacant, industrial complex rising to the end of the 19th century, gradually expanded and partly modified in the 1930s. The dilapidated and heavily overgrown brick buildings were completely dismantled and partially demolished for the recuperation of the copper boilers.
