Double house of red brick with natural stone corner bands, five bays and two storeys, gate bay on the left and two bays of one storey on the right. The façade is horizontally lined by wall bands and bluestone cornices. Decoratively elaborated balcony on the second floor. Eight casements with richly elaborated inscriptions "EAST", "WEST", "THUIS", "BEST" and "EIGEN", "HEERD", "GOUD", "WEERD". CITY ARCHIVES MENEN, Building applications Lauwe 871.1, unnumbered.
