Description

First mention of a farm in the first half of the 16th century, sold in 1607 to the Mechelen victorines of Blijdenberg who owned the farm, formerly said to be "'s Molenarengoed" and "Blauwverversgoed", until the end of the ancien regime. In 1717 the nuns had a double chimney built in their mud farm in Bonheiden, at the back of the stable. Shortly afterwards, at the expense of the tenant, a stone house and stable were built. According to an old drawing, the left part of the house used to be higher. Repair and improvement works in the course of the 18th century, including the re-bricking of the façade in 1763. Compared to the street, a slanted stable house with a parallel barn to the north on an earthen yard to the south, largely hedged on the street side, neglected vegetable garden to the south. Anchored, partly painted stable house of eight bays and one storey on a pecked plinth, under cantilevered, lame gable roof (Flemish tiles). Eastern dwelling house with barred, partly shuttered rectangular windows; Basement first bay with upstairs window. Basket-arched door with imposts and keystone under circumferential water moulding. Stable area with preserved "8" of year anchors. Raised (see building seams) brick barn under a pitched gable roof (Flemish tiles) with recessed south-east and south-west corners, rectangular gates. It is said that during the French Revolution, secret masses were celebrated in this barn and meetings were held during the peasant war. Next to the gate is a diamond-shaped memorial stone from 1848. Detached outbuilding to the southeast.
