Old parsonage of Everbeek-Beneden

Old rectory of Everbeek-Beneden. Originally dating back at least to the 17th century, it has been in use as a rectory since the end of the 17th century after a donation. Approximately renovated in 1791 at the expense of the then pastor. The year 1832 on the lintel of the front door presumably refers to the adjustments made at that time; likely a rectory until about 1856. Uninhabited from 1954 to 1995 and since then undergoing renovation, with parts being renewed or slightly adjusted, both externally (including the rear facade) and internally, sometimes reusing old materials. Located at the back, previously moated wide house of one floor and nine bays under a hipped gable roof. Right side annex with weaving and facade ears with a hard stone console and covering. Raised ground floor in the front facade (facing southeast) provided with rectangular wall openings in flat hard stone frames, a narrower window to the left of the door bay; door with blind blocks and a wide door step of 4 steps. Traces of older wall openings, namely arches and construction joints; blind left bay in differently colored masonry as a later extension of the 18th-century volume. A drainage ditch on either side of the door in or above the scratched plinth plastering. Presumably the oldest cellar under the eastern part of the house with a projecting pressed brick vault from the corners, mostly replaced by concrete. Three-part vaulted cellar under the western part of the house with hard stone floor tiles and cellar stairs. Recognizable remains of the northwest corner of the moat.
