Kapellestraat z.nr. Chapel "Our Lady of Comfort in Need", built after World War I to replace an 18th-century thanksgiving chapel that, according to tradition, was founded by a wealthy landowner who survived a robbery. Already represented as a chapel on the Ferraris map (1770-1778) and as "chapelle Troost en nood" on the Atlas der Buurtwegen (ca. 1843). Between 1880 and 1886, with the financial support of Marie Gilliodts, the 18th-century chapel was significantly enlarged into a single-nave neo-Gothic place of worship of three bays, preceded by a lower portal volume. After World War I, only this low portal volume was rebuilt as a chapel. Simple brick roadside chapel under a mansard roof on a rectangular floor plan flanked by two Italian poplars. Round-arched receding brick door surround. Interior. Sober white-painted interior with plastered barrel vault. Altar with statue of Our Lady, separated by iron railing.
