The rocky headland that dominates the confluence of the Meuse and the Hoyoux rivers is by its very nature an important strategic point and was at one time a prison and then a garrison. In the old store rooms of the Dutch fort, built in 1818, eleven rooms today house the informative Museum about the Resistance movement and concentration camps. Accessible on foot or by cable car.
