Vallon Des Chantoirs

Explore a geological phenomenon that is specific to regions with chalky subsoil. Where a stream leaves the surface and pursues its way underground, chantoirs can be found. Their name comes from the sound of the water, evocative of a song, as it sinks into the soil in order to re-emerge a few kilometres on. An exploratory itinerary departs from Deigné village square and makes its way to the chantoirs of Grandchamps and Adzeu. Next you will head to the Roughe-Thier mill, then the woods of Aywaille. The walk now leads you to the hamlet of Playe and the Beronry chantoir. After the Trou Le Coq chantoir, return to the main road and the entrance to the village of Deigné. An attractive loop of about 17km for those who are curious about nature!
