La Châtaignerie

The Châtaigneraie, Walloon Centre for Contemporary Art (CWAC in French) is a center enabling young artists to be promoted and others to be rediscovered, a place where contemporary art and cultural events are offered that will meet your expectations. The CWAC is located in Flémalle, in the Liège area. CWAC's is aiming to offer temporary exhibitions where most of the different existing techniques in contemporary art are exposed. No permanent collection, no gallery, no art selling, but instead the wish to share its enthousiasm of contemporary art.In order to expand the network, the Châtaigneraie collaborates with cultural institutions from all over. The Châtaigneraie is based on the idea to introduce high quality contemporary art with eclectic disciplines. The centre aims to be a place of encounter with young artists and to promote contemporary art. For sure, the Châtaigneraie's agenda will list an exhibition you're going to love !
