Opposite the building with house number 26 on Rue de la Sentinelle (with a broad, once white Ardennes facade), there is, at a slightly lower level than the street you are following, an old public washing place, which is listed as a monument, but nonetheless deserves a renovation. In former times, many Ardennes villages were rich in similar washing places, of course located in areas with a river or a brook with sufficient flow.
