The Coninckplein with the statue of Albrecht Rodenbach and the neo-Romanesque St. Amand's Church. The statue was inaugurated in 1909 by a mass of Flemish supporters. The statue is by the Roeselare sculptor Jules Lagae, who depicts the young Rodenbach with a blue foot, the symbol of the blue-footism.
