What Faluintjes are, etymologists still have heated discussions about. The Faluintjes municipalities are located to the east of Aalst, near the border with Brabant. It is a rural area that has always been closely connected to the Affligem Abbey. We start in Aalst, the city of printer Dirk Martens, social advocate priest Aldolf Daens, and writer Louis Paul Boon.
