Sas 4 in Dessel is where three canals meet – Bocholt–Herentals, Dessel–Schoten, and Dessel–Kwaadmechelen – a unique intersection in Europe! From the 37-metre-high observation tower, you can enjoy stunning views over a patchwork of canals, lakes, and ponds. Inside the tower, a permanent exhibition explores the region’s white sand, waterways, and top tourist sights.Not up for the climb – all 216 steps of it? No problem. At the visitor centre, you can watch the panoramic views on a TV screen or experience them through VR goggles – almost like being there in person! Children can burn off energy in the play forest, and a wheelchair is available for visitors who need it.
