The mill was mentioned in writing as early as 1379. It then belonged to the Castle of Binderveld. The mill, which functioned as a flour mill, was rebuilt several times and the current mill building, made of brick, dates from 1910. In 1937 another renovation took place.
The sluice, the metal undershot wheel and the grinding mechanism are still present. In 1993 the mill was protected as a monument and the surrounding area as a protected village.
