This castle farm was founded around 1650 by Johann Heinrich von Baring. The Von Baring family was ennobled in 1700. It is possible that there was already a castle before that time. In 1719 the castle changed hands. The house was greatly altered in the mid-18th century. Since 1841 the castle was in the possession of the Von Frühbuss family and during this time further changes were made.
