Located in Calestienne, in the south of the Entre-Sambre-et-Meuse, the site consists of a limestone slope covered with forests on the left bank of the Eau Noire, not far from Couvin. Near the watercourse, on the edge of the massif, lies the entrance to the famous Neptune caves. The whole area is of great interest both in terms of landscape and botany, with the presence of a station of two-leaved scilla (Scilla bifolia), a rare small lily family plant confined mainly to Wallonia in the Viroin basin. The presence of the greater horseshoe bat (Rhinolophus ferrumequinum) is also noted.
