Located in the southeastern Ardennes, the site corresponds to the bed and surroundings of an old railway, line 163 Gouvy-Bastogne, near the village of Bourcy. The western section, at the village level, is the most open, while further east, the surroundings feature a wooded strip of various species. In open areas, the embankments, made of limestone fill, support ruderal vegetation as well as some elements of dry grasslands, such as common burnet (Sanguisorba minor), wild thyme (Thymus pulegioides), and mouse-ear hawkweed (Hieracium pilosella). The faunistic interest remains to be documented. Notably, the slow worm (Anguis fragilis) and the European turtle dove (Streptopelia turtur) have been observed during the breeding season. The line is now paved and reserved for slow traffic (pedestrians, cyclists, horseback riders,...).
