This dead arm is located in the Ardennes part of the Semois valley, north of Herbeumont. It is a remarkable site for which only fairly old data (from the 1970s) is available. At that time, the exceptional diversity of aquatic herbaceous plants was highlighted. Notably, marsh hottonia (Hottonia palustris), two types of myriophyllum (Myriophyllum verticillatum and M. spicatum), and water clover (Menyanthes trifoliata) were observed there, among others. This biotope deserves to be revisited to verify the persistence of these different species.
