Located to the west of Aywaille, in the locality of Fosset (or Fossettes), the site consists of a set of grasslands of high biological value, which have benefited from agri-environmental measures at least until the end of 2011. It consists of two adjacent plots, elongated along a south-north axis, more or less surrounded by wooded areas, in a highly hilly sector on the right slope of the Parfondvau, a tributary of the Amblève. Notably, there is a submontane hay meadow with green-yellow lady's mantle (Alchemilla xanthochlora), bistort (Persicaria bistorta), mountain sweet pea (Lathyrus linifolius var. montanus), and spotted St. John's wort (Hypericum maculatum). There are also low altitude, unfertilized hay meadows with, among others, meadow saffron (Colchicum autumnale), quaking grass (Briza media), and clustered saxifrage (Saxifraga granulata). Along the brook that crosses the eastern plot extends a meadowsweet swamp (Filipendula ulmaria). The site also hosts a significant population of spotted orchid (Dactylorhiza maculata). The management of these grasslands consists of mowing, which has been quite irregular in recent years, leading to the development of numerous bushes. In the future, the operator plans to implement extensive sheep grazing.
