Groenpool Vinderhoutse Bossen

The Groenpool Vinderhoutse Bossen is to become one of the four green poles on the outskirts of Ghent, a large recreation and nature reserve at the transition from city to countryside.

The project area is located northwest of the city center of Ghent and northwest of the Bourgoyen-Ossemeersen urban nature reserve. The northern part of the project is located on the territory of the municipality of Lievegem, the southern part is on the territory of the City of Ghent. The Ghent-Ostend canal and the Brugse Vaart form the northern and eastern borders of the area respectively. In the south, the border from east to west is formed by Zuidbroek, Beekstraat, Ringvaart, Leegte, Mariakerksesteenweg, Beekstraat and Boskeetstraat. The Gavergrachtstraat and the Drongensesteenweg form the western boundary of the planning area.
