An original and cozy local café with dozens of regional beers on the menu, served by Mia according to the rules of the art.
The name Gloriette is an old Flemish term for a "gazebo." On the terrace in the café's backyard, there is a group of trees close together. In the summer, they provide the necessary refreshment to customers with their shade. The café is only open during the weekends. It was a popular endpoint for cyclists and hikers exploring the nearby valley of the Oude Kale and the surrounding Nevelland. Local residents also regularly met there to, among other things, play cards on Sundays after mass.
CURRENTLY (early 2020) THERE ARE RENOVATIONS for transformation into a restaurant. For updated info, visit their website https://www.gloriette.be/
