The Leiebos covers an area of 26 hectares that is managed by the Agency for Nature and Forest. Since 1986, indigenous tree and shrub species have been planted here. The forest includes two old branches of the Leie river and the area around the E403 south of Moorsele Airport has also been included in the region. There is a play forest for children, there are fishing ponds, and there are various walking and cycling paths.
