This picnic area offers a beautiful view of the Noordermark and the Moermolen. The Moermolen was designed at the time by a resident of the vagrant colony in Wortel to drain the Moer. However, the Moermolen would not have functioned for long. Nearby you will also find information panel with more information about the Moer and hiking in the valley of the Merkske.
This location has been set up as part of the Zondereigen land consolidation project.
