The Place Anneessens or Anneessensplein is a square in Brussels, Belgium. It is named in honour of François Anneessens, dean of the Nation of St. Christopher , who was beheaded on the Grand Place during a period of uprisings within the Austrian Netherlands.The square is located halfway down the Boulevard Maurice Lemonnier/Maurice Lemonnierlaan, in the Midi–Lemonnier or Stalingrad Quarter . It is served by the premetro station Anneessens on lines 3 and 4.
