The bottling plant of the Spontin Springs, which made the village renowned under the shadow of the parent company Spa, was located away from the village towards Durnal, in a beautiful setting. It is now closed and unfortunately left to ruin, a victim of several acts of vandalism. Once, it was open to visits when surrounded by English ornamental gardens. These springs, which bore the names Duchesse, Presbytère, and Clairchant, were once famous for their curative properties. Their official recognition in 1922 materialized with the creation of the General Company of Mineral and Carbonated Waters. The exploitation of the thermal springs and the production of sweet syrups contributed to a wide distribution of Spontin water, before this industrial activity recently ceased due to a declaration of bankruptcy. This thermal activity led to the construction of villas at the end of the 19th century, of which two examples remain on either side of the former bottling workshop.
