This walk is named after a 19th century opera composer famous in his day who often stayed in Spa .
It was in Spa that he found the inspiration for his first major work, "Robert le Diable". He loved the outdoors and nature and was often seen riding a donkey. The trail runs along the edge of the stream , going from one side to the other via wooden or stone walkways.
The Meyerbeer walk starts at the Source de Barisart and the adjacent restaurant and follows the stream that rises in the Géronstère.
There are several picnic tables along the way.
To return, it is recommended to pass through the Bois de Mambaye via the Thier des Raixhons , the famous ski slope of Spa.
