Questa passeggiata prende il nome da un famoso compositore d'opera del 19° secolo ai suoi tempi che soggiornò spesso a Spa .
Fu a Spa che trovò l'ispirazione per la sua prima opera importante, "Robert le Diable". Amava la vita all'aria aperta e la natura ed era spesso visto cavalcare un asino. Il sentiero corre lungo il bordo del torrente , passando da una parte all'altra tramite camminamenti in legno o in pietra.
La passeggiata Meyerbeer parte dalla Source de Barisart e dal ristorante adiacente e segue il ruscello che nasce nella Géronstère.
Ci sono diversi tavoli da picnic lungo la strada.
Per il ritorno si consiglia di passare per il Bois de Mambaye passando per il Thier des Raixhons , la famosa pista da sci di Spa.
