The onion tower of the Collegiate Church of Our Lady of Dinant is a striking, bulbous spire that dates back to 1566. Originally, this tower was intended for the town hall, but was ultimately placed on the church. The tower was rebuilt in 1927 after being destroyed during World War I and has since been a symbol of the city of Dinant, despite some believing that the shape did not fit the Gothic style.
