Bron: Willem Vandenameele
This is an Italian restaurant in the center of Stavelot. The building is in the Art Nouveau style of the early 20th century and is reminiscent of a platform in a station. Above it are 2 murals. On the first floor there are also tiles from the Brussels Maison Helman. Helman was born in Stavelot in 1863 and was an architect there.
The brasserie is also an attraction during the Lætare. The Lætare is a traditional festival held during the Laetare festival on the fourth Sunday of Lent. This festival, one of the most popular in Wallonia, is also known for its protagonists: the Blancs Moussis
Saint Remacle was born about 600 and died about 669, and was a Catholic and Orthodox saint, founder of the Abbey of Stavelot in 651 and first abbot of the Abbey of Solignac.
