The church in neo-Gothic style is well situated, close to the Lesse and the Meuse. The monumental exterior view is impressive with its high bell tower and the rough mass of the building, all in blue stone. Construction ended in 1913.
Saint Anna is the patroness of this church and of Anseremme. She is introduced to the church, as is often the case, with her daughter Marie, whom she initiates in reading the Bible. Her veneration developed in Anseremme following the Counter-Reformation, as a result of the extension of the veneration of the Blessed Virgin, her daughter.
