La iglesia de estilo neogótico está bien situada, cerca del Lesse y del Mosa. La vista exterior monumental es impresionante con su alto campanario y la masa bruta del edificio, todo de piedra azul. La construcción se completó en 1913.
Santa Ana es la patrona de esta iglesia y de Anseremme. Ella es introducida en la iglesia, como suele ser el caso, con su hija María, a quien inicia en la lectura de la Biblia. Su veneración se desarrolló en Anseremme a raíz de la Contrarreforma, consecuencia de la expansión de la veneración de la Santa Virgen, su hija.
