Watch the Tombeau du Géant emerge from the morning mist in Botassart.

The name "Tombeau du Géant" comes from the legend of a Gallic hero of impressive size who refused to be captured by the Romans and chose to throw himself from the rock "Rocher des Gattes" rather than die in the arena of the Colosseum. The next day, Botassart's people found his body and buried it on a hill surrounded by the river.
