Altar of Tranquility Saint-Roch - Dinant

Located on the street of the same name, this Saint-Roch chapel dates from the 19th century.

It was restored in 1992 on the initiative of the neighbors.

Saint Roch of Montpellier went to Rome as soon as possible. On the side , he tended the sick, preferably affected by the plague, and soon made a name for himself by healing some of them through the sign of the cross . On the return journey, he himself caught the plague .

In iconography he is therefore often depicted with his leg open . He retired to a forest and was healed there by an angel.
